Olympic Airlines flew its last flight from Athens to New York and back, today September 28, 2009. "Olympia" the A340 aircraft flight 411 landed at JFK Airport at 2:53pm ending its 43 years of direct service. The crew of Olympic thanked the passengers as they left the plane many with tears in their eyes. Flight 412 left at 5pm, taking off at 5:50 for the last time from JFK Airport. The last passengers going to Athens were sad as they knew that they will have to return to NY with another carrier.
