A record crowd and a record temperature of 92 today in New York City did not stop the over 100,000 Greek Americans who turned out to view and participate in the Greek Parade of 2009 up Fifth Ave. 2009 Grand Marshals Singer Tony Orlando, Alexis Gianoulias, Illinois State Treasurer, and Evangelos Meimerakis Greek Defence Minister along with Archbishop Demetrios and many Dignitaries led the 2009 Greek Independence Day Parade up Fifth Ave. Greek Americns from the tri-state area filled the streets that led to Fifth Ave today April 26, 2009 in NY.
